2004 TV Emmys

Lets talk about the 2004 Emmys. I should have typed my observations as the show was on but I could barely keep my eyes open at times. Here we go. Freak of the night...Edie Falco of Sopranos. She cut her hair short and whenever the camera panned to her side had a fake expression of love and happiness on her face. She either had lock jaw or botox that day. Gary Schandling.. Not sure..Stuff was pretty funny but he was disturbing. He was barely moving his mouth which made me feel like he was being worked by a puppeteer or right before he went on he suffered a minor stroke. His material was pretty good and made an effort to stay Emmy Topical meaning as things happened in the show he must have had writers updating his material. Al Pacino could have used someone. His acceptance was horrible as he rambled on and on. And how sad it is a man making no sense is allotted 5 mins to talk while others had the symphony come in after 30 seconds. Now I know he made the Godfather and countless other films but should he be treated any differently then the other stars?? Pompous ASS of the night Billy Crystal... Just remember you were once a comedian and get a sense of humor again. Biggest mistake of the night. Drea DeMateo winning over Stockard Channing or Jannelle Maloney from West Wing. Jannelle is such a talent and is always overlooked. I will come back to this blog later
