2006 Emmys

Well it is Emmy time again and tonight it is coming from the Kodak theatre in CA. Temps at the place are in excess of 100. The red carpet is winding down and Ryan Seacrest is doing it for E and NBC has Odell and Billy?? E has the better coverage this year. Puple is the color of the dresses for the ladies. NBC gets the guests first and E second. They are calling all of the celebs in for the start of the show. We are about 7 mins from the start.

Which brings us to the start of the show. Nancy O'dell always looks good. Cut to Conan on a plane, the waitress asks him if he is nervous and he says no what could go wrong. He is now on the lost island. He builds a hair dryer out of wood. He goes down the hatch to get to the emmys and ends up on the set of the office. Then he is on the phone with 24 and now with House. Then onto South Park. Did a shot at Tom Cruise. Onto a news show that is catching sex predators. Went a little too long and did not elicit a lot of laughter. But it is conan

Live with Conan on stage..Doing his routine. Shot at Mel Gibson. A joke about the gift baskets was ok. Audience shot of Murphy Brown..She looked old. Conan is breaking into a song. The routine was fantastic and funny. One of the best ever and it saved the opening.

Pat Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo to give the first award for Actors in a comedy series. Cheryl Hines for Curb, Megan Mallay for Will and Grace, a chic from weeds, Alice Willard Desperate,and Jamie Presley for earl.. Winner should be Cheryl. Goes to Megan for Will and Grace. She is crying and so emotional..But the music comes up and closes out the thanks. Onto Louis Dreyfus and Sean Hayes from Will and Grace...Outstanding actor is Drama. Alan Alda west wing, Imperiolio for Sopranos, Greg Itzin 24, Oliver Platt Huff, and William Shatner..Alan Alda...much deserved.

Back live at 8:24 Little stunt with Bob Newhart. Next up Martin and Charlie Sheen..Something got screwed up because they walked out during the middle of it. Charlie thanking his dad...Best supporting actors in a drama...They did them so fast I could not type down the nominees. Blythe Danner won for something. For Huff?? What show was that... No one even knows what it is....Music came up and started to drown her out. Who will be the first to sing to it tonight..Jamie Presley and Earl dude Jason. Outstanding Actor in Comedy... Supporting..Once again too fast.. Should go to Cryer or Piven... Winner is.....Piven won for Entourage. His speach short funny and then he cried. A tribute to Dick Clark coming up which means he must be dying

Back from break at 835. Conan doing another bit about getting off the stage faster. Next two up....CSI dudes dont know thier names and 24 dude. The allstate guy.. Supporting actress in a mini... So far I have not seen one of them...Alfre she should win for other stuff... Emmy goes to Kelly McDonald..Not sure who she is... A fine irish girl with the accent and all. Real quick,,,

Conan again talking about spanish listeners.. Then he announces that he is wasting time..Cut to Bob Newhart..Hiedi Klum, Tanbor and john...
