AI Disco Night

Suzie getting ready for Disco Night on AI. Disco night.Perhaps the worst nite ever on American Idol..Front runners suck and the bottom few suck even worse...Now my theory for a good Disco night on AI is take a disco song and slow it down..Don't try to sing it fast and like the original..IT WILL ONLY SUCK..

If you recall, last week Matt G made idol history by being the first saved loser. Someone threw him a frikin bone..Ok so Ryan is all suited up and affected...Out come the top 7.....

Lil Rounds doing I'm Every Woman...She looks good in her one piece leotard..Good song choice if she brings it..She sounds good but this week you have to blow them away..Backup singers are doing most of the singing..She is good in the parts that she is but not a blow you away performance...8..Not bad but not off the hook...Randy said you got the party started but it sounded wild..You can sing but does not show us much..Kara said we have been waiting for you to sing Chaka but it was not worth the wait...Paula said I was with you yesterday and your voice is hurting but you did not hit the mark..Simon said you look sad and there she is saying she had fun, Simon said I'm happy you did because this is your last night...He may be right..Someone shouted something but I could not hear...

Chris Allen....Got his guitar..She Works Hard For The Money...I have a feeling this may be good..If he slows it down...This is what needs to be done..Sounds like the Doobie Brothers..I said Doobie....Simple acoustic good tone and is making this a song that they would play the Coffee House stations around the country..Best of the night so far...10..Gonna be hard to beat...Put together nicely....Kara said you took a risk and it paid off...Take a Donna Summer and manage to make it yours..Paula said it had a Santana feel and you like to shop at a woman's store you contender..Simon said he needs a translator for Paula..Simon said that it was original and even if you buy ladies underwear it was fantastic..Randy said you know who you are and you are ready for the big time...Could be the AI winner this year...Cut to Alison and Danny who are up next and they are doing the dopey crap that Fox wants them to do

Danny...September..Earth Wind and Fire..September...Screaming at first. Very nice soulful..solid job. A very good rendition..Into a medley of See Clearly Now..Hmmmm was that on purpose and back into the main song..Not bad...9 to 9.5....Maybe a little higher but not a 10...Randy said he was worried but said he brought it..Kara said she was worried about him as well...But she said he is a good singer...Paula said when i think of the top you go higher and the arrangement and you are agile and brilliant...and you have a sexy voice..Simon said I agree with everyone but the performance does not give star power and you need to make it special...

Alison...Hot Stuff..On the Secrist Stairs..Starts off slow and very southern rockish...Alana Miles and she is dressed in leather... Solid performance again and as good as the last two...It is amazing that she is 16...9.5 to 10 as well..three strong performances in a row..Standing O for the girl who rocked it...Randy has two things. Does not love it but you are one of the best singers in the show...Kara said you picked the right song but too slow..I disagree and you are a great singer and it was a 9-10..Paula said your vocabulary is edgy and I don't mind your authentic notes and the chart..Simon said it has nothing to do with slow or fast but you were an underdog this week because of disco and you were brilliant...I agree...

Adam Lambert...SNF If I Can't Have You..Suited up again and hair tweaked...Bee Gees...Once again he has hit the mark and taken a song and made it completely different..9.5-10...Standing O again...Randy said Dog you should show your range, you are ready right now dog...Paula said you are brilliant and you upped it again and the emotion and it is inspiring...Paula said I never question my response when you perform and you did a disco song and I felt your pain and you tore your heart out and you are brilliant..Simon said I would have bet you would have done Donna Summer and it was original and never heard it before and the vocals were spot on...Oh and Adam giving credit to his arranger..He has really changed my thought process on his talent..Where I thought he was a wanna be he is not..

Matt G...Staying Alive...O fuck me that shitty hat again..I hope something falls on that hot..so not bad but compared to others it does not hold up...Him and Lil are going home...8...Jumping around and screaming to make it seem like he is holding it down...Randy said yo yo check it out...did not love the song choice or arrangement but you can sing...Kara said you brought disco back and vocals were good...Paula said you pick songs and go bowling and you struck it and life was saved by you..Simon said I did not like it..You have to get out of idol land.It seemed desperate, vocals not great and not original sorry...

Anoop Dog to close it out..Tonight's its all the way..Pitchy at the start but mellow and slow but then speeding up and starts to lose its integrity for a second but he brings it back and its actually not a bad job..He should be safe for one more week...Maybe..8.5....Randy said he did not love it and it was corny but you can sing also...Nice Job..Kara said it was a ballad and it could be on the radio and it was a good performance..Paula said your look with the growth and you look good and real men know how to wear pink...You hit magic and you smile and your teeth..Simon said I disagree and said it mediocre at best..Prayed that the temp would not pick up and it did and your worst performance....

Bottom three are Lil, Matt, and Anoop...One will stay for one more week
